Dr. Hartman is a Portland dentist committed to providing exceptional, patient-centered dental care. Originally from Bend, Oregon, he attended Mountain View High School before earning his bachelor’s degree in biology from Willamette University. He then moved to Boston to work at Harvard University, conducting research on the human inflammatory system—an experience that strengthened his passion for health science and ultimately led him to pursue dentistry.
Dr. Hartman returned to Oregon to attend Oregon Health & Science University, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2009. Since graduating, he has completed thousands of hours of continuing education in restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and overall oral health, ensuring his patients receive the most advanced, comfortable, and effective dental treatments available. He has proudly served the Northeast Portland community since 2015.
Outside the practice, Dr. Hartman is a devoted father and husband who enjoys exploring the natural beauty of the Cascades and the Willamette Valley. You may even spot him walking the trails of Mount Tabor on his lunch break. He’s passionate about the Portland Trail Blazers, golf, guitar, and local live music and art events. Dr. Charlie Hartman leads our practice with a deep passion about dentistry and patient care. A lifelong Oregon resident, he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Oregon Health & Science University and has completed extensive continuing education in restorative and cosmetic dentistry.
